Fulton, Mo. – The Columbia College men’s golf team split up into two teams to participate in the William Woods Boone Hospital Center Invite on Saturday and Sunday. The Blue team placed second after shooting 16-over par 592 (296-296). Columbia’s Silver team earned a fifth place finish, hitting a 36-over-par 612 (303-309).

The 2nd-ranked William Woods University A team won the event by 23-strokes, as they shot a seven-under par 569 (279-290).

Freshman Daymond Dollens finished tied for third and made the All-Tournament Team with an even par total of 144 (70-74). Ben Charles, who was on the Silver team finished shooting three-over par 147 (73-74), in a tie for seventh place.

Hunter Parrish 148 (77-71) and teammate Trevor Cronin 148 (75-73) tied for ninth place after shooting four-over par.

Erik Peyton from the Silver team tied for 16th place after shooting 153 (77-76, +9) while Caleb Abalos from the Blue team tied for 20th totaling a 10-over par 154 (74-80).

Colbey Schuster who was on the Silver team and Blue team member, Levi Elder tied for 23rd, posting an 11-over par 155.

Silver team members Jackson Dubinski 159 (79-80, +15) and Cole Perkins 162 (83-79, +18), tied for 29th and 34th, respectively.

The Cougars will return to the course to take part in the Evangel Fall Festival on September 27th-29th. The event will be hosted by Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield, Mo. Tee time will be at 7:45 a.m.
