Cole Dillon earns MIAA Golfer of the Week honors

Share

Central Missouri sophomore golfer Cole Dillon was named the MIAA Men’s Golf Athlete of the Week this week.

The Manhattan, Kan. native captured the first individual title of his career, winning the Washburn Invitational with a score of one-under par. He was the only golfer in the field to finish under par playing in frigid, windy conditions at the Topeka Country Club on Monday. The Mules won the team title at the weather-shortened event as well.

This is the first golfer of the week award of his career.

The Mules return to action next Monday and Tuesday at the UCO Broncho Invitational in Oklahoma City. The tournament will be played at the Gaillardia Golf & Country Club.
