The December issue of the Missouri Golf Post is now up on our website and contains lots of golf news as well as several feature stories.
Our cover story is about the life and times of Belleville’s favorite son, Bob Goalby. Bob won the 1968 Masters and had a great career on the PGA Tour. But he also played a big role in the formation of what is now the Champions Tour and in the early development in golf of the Haas brothers, Jay and Jerry.
Bob Martin’s feature “200 Snickers” is a funny story about bad manners and tempers on the golf course and about how his young child taught him a valuable lesson about golf and life.
Brian Leonard, a teacher and golf coach at Nevada, MO high school recounts his “greatest day” on a golf course this past August during a practice session with his girls golf team.
Read these stories and about “all things golf” in Missouri in the December Post. Also check out Jack Garvin’s two new books about the Missouri Amateur and the Missouri Women’s Amateur that are now available from the Missouri Golf Post Publishing Co.
