Mules’ sophomore golfer Brett Windsor was named Co-MIAA Men’s Golf Athlete of the Week after his performance at the Lindenwood Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.
Windsor tied with Taylor Lansford of Missouri Southern for second place at the conference points event, finishing at one-under par. The Boonville, Mo. native shot rounds of 72, 68 and 72 to finish one shot back of first place and help the Mules to a runner-up team finish.
The Mules were the highest placing MIAA team in the tournament and earned a full 11 team points for the conference standings. Windsor and Lansford were the highest placing MIAA individuals and earned 14.5 points each. After the two fall events, UCM is second in the points standings with 19 points, one point behind Central Oklahoma. Windsor is in a tie for sixth with 14.5 points. Eli Armstrong of Central Oklahoma leads with 26 points.
