Bass Pro Legends Event Kicks Off With a Fundraiser for Missouri State Golf Teams

Share

On Monday April 20 a celebrity golf scramble at Top of the Rock will be held. Half of the proceeds will benefit the Missouri State men’s and women’s golf teams.

Missouri State Director of Athletics Kyle Moats said, “This fundraiser is another example of how well we are treated by the folks at Bass Pro Shops and Big Cedar Lodge. We will use the funds primarily to support the travel for our golf teams. It’s important for us to travel to ‘away’ golf tournaments, and the help from Bass Pro Shops is certainly appreciated.”

The teams will be the first to play the Top of the Rock par-three course in this year’s tournament. Each team will have a celebrity player, and MSU golfers will accompany the teams as a caddy. Celebrities such as Mike Golic (of the popular Mike & Mike Show), professional golfers Boo Weekley and Ian Woosnam along with Missouri’s own Jon Sunvold (former NBA star and MU Basketball player), and professional tennis player Michael Chang will be at Top of the Rock and will accompany the teams made up of MSU athletic supporters.
