Central Missouri Mules golf is sitting in fifth place after two rounds of the Washburn Invitational. The Mules shot a +26, 594 for 36 holes, with rounds of 297 and 297.
Shayne Allan is the Mules leader in sole possession of 10th place. He is currently three-over-par with a 145 score after two rounds. Allan shot 72 and 73 on day one.
Last week’s MIAA Golfer of the Week John Bonaobra is in a tie for 26th with teammate Matt Hoemann. They both shot +7, 149. Bonaobra bounced back from a +5, 76 in the opening round with a +2, 73 in round two. Hoemann shot rounds of 75 and 75.
Ian Barnes completes the scoring for UCM. He is tied for 37th place with a +9, 151. Sam Parrott is also competing and is tied for 51st place with a +12, 154. Brett Windsor is playing as an individual and has a +12, 154 with even rounds of 77.
Of Allan’s 36 holes, he played seven birdies. As team, the Mules hit 22 birdies and shot for par on 105 of 144 holes. The Mules found success on long-distance holes shooting a combined -2 on par-five holes.
Host Washburn is the team leader with a +12, 580. Blake Allan of the Ichabods is the individual leader at -4, 137. Wesley Jackson of Central Oklahoma shot the low round of the day with a -4, 67 in round one.
